“As someone who has crossed the boundaries between different styles of music, I have enormous respect for TOC’s approach to their mission of bringing classical music to a broader audience.” --- Billy Joel

This page is dedicated to the wonderful music of Ten O’ Clock Classics, a classical performance group founded by Juilliard graduate Ronnie Segev.

Ronen (Ronnie) Segev founded his musical group, TOC, in 2000 with the financial support of real estate developer David Picket, President of the Gotham Organization.

TOC performs classical music with a twist, hoping to capture the twentysomething generation and erase some stereotypes regarding the genre.

Although the group performs regularly on some of New York’s most prestigious concert stages, Ronen and the TOC appeal stems from their presentations in non-traditional venues such as Studio 54, Crunch Fitness, and other indie cafes.

Trained as a classical pianist, Ronen (Ronnie) Segev has performed as a sole act at many of New York’s hot classical venues and indie cafes.

On September 25, 2003, as the centerpiece of New York’s 88 Keys Music Festival. Ronen and 20 other pianists premiered Italian composer Daniele Lombardi’s Sinfonia Nos. 1 and 2 for 21 Pianos and Threndonia for 21 Pianos. Conducted by Antonio Ballista, each pianist played on a grand piano. This performance, in New York’s World Financial Center, was the largest number of pianos performing at one time since the 1939 World’s Fair, in which upright pianos were used.
